Quote of the day: Norman Maclean
I just came across this supremely profound quote on the internet and it makes me wonder about how water has the ability to manoeuvre itself through every nook and corner.
Water in itself is a circle. Raindrops falls from the sky to meet the rivers on land which then flows and empties themselves into the deep sea. Seas then flows themselves into the huge oceans which send tsunami waves upon the land, cutting through everything in its path. Some of the water then seeps through the cracklines along the rocks while some evaporates into the air to meet the clouds in the sky.
It's interesting how Norman managed to come up with such a vivid imagery through the use of words. Splendid indeed.

Word of the day: Kawaakari
This is such a beautiful word and I fell in love with it instantly the moment I set my eyes upon it. Reflection of moonlight on a river is surely one of the most beautiful moments that Mother Nature keeps in her coffers.
Luckily for us, we do get to see this image but only if we dare to venture out of our comfort zone to seek a river out. This is especially true for urbanites who hardly get the chance to get close to Mother Nature, due to the manmade structure of a city in which we live in.
For me, there's the Singapore river which is located very near to my workplace but in my opinion, it isn't a very beautiful river because of the pollution that plagues it throughout time.
Sigh.. what a pity indeed.

REVIEW: [Beauty] Blackhead mask and Jelly lip masks
This time round, I bought some blackhead masks and jelly lip masks from #Qoo10 to try out. I am finding myself unable to stop sniggering at myself whenever I use the jelly lip mask because it makes me look super comical ๐
Still, it was quite fun and interesting to try out new products every now and then. But I still haven't use the blackhead mask because I don't have time to do a proper facial. However I /will/ definitely use it one day heh~

REVIEW: [Technology] Prodo power bank
Finally, I received this Prodo power bank which I got from Qoo10 after a super long wait from the seller. Gosh I thought they had forgotten about my order since it failed to arrive even after waiting for 2 weeks. But anyway, this baby is really heavy which I don't like but charging-wise, it's still quite okay lah.

Music Watch: BABYMETAL - Road of Resistance - Live in Japan (OFFICIAL)
This time round, I'm bringing you to see the live performance of BABYMETAL's epic song titled 'Road of Resistance'.
I must say, the entire audience are in mosh pit zone and all I can see is just a sea of humans. I tell ya, this live performance is really epic to the point of Moses parting the Red Sea. Only in here, we are seeing Yuimetal parting the mosh pit crowd with her bare hands, LITERALLY.
How many pop stars can lay claim to such an epic feat? Personally, I don't even know of any singers who could achieve such a feat, let alone by a mere 15 year old girl (at the time of concert). My goodness, this is really an eye-opener and don't even get me started on the music.
Yes, the MUSIC itself is just as epic and I think I am starting to fall in love with BABYMETAL now. Yes yes I know I'm a late bloomer but at least it's better than nothing. Still, there are some songs which isn't really my cup of tea like Gimme Chocolate! but oh well, no one is perfect anyways.
And did I tell you about the lyrics? My god, they are so meaningful and that makes this particular song even more epic!! I'll post them below and you shall be the judge. For now, I'm going to hit the replay button on repeat!

The beat is rather interesting, as typical of their signature mix of metal with pop to become a unique genre. This is one of their older songs and I wish I could understand what they are singing about. Right, it's time for me to start searching for the lyrics to BABYMETAL songs so that I can understand what they are singing.
Of course, I can't make out what kind of message their MV is trying to bring across and when the part with the main singer in long hair appeared, I keep thinking that a ghost is gonna pop out from those mirrors behind her-- okay, I'm being ridiculous here.

REVIEW: [Beauty] Kose Sekkisei Sun Protect Essense Milk SPF50 PA+++
I just bought Kose Sekkisei Sun Protect Essence Milk SPF 50 PA+++ from Qoo10 and tried it out for a couple of days.
As it's a travel size, I didn't have to pay an exorbitant price but even so, I don't think it's really suitable for me. I don't know exactly why but I'm still withholding judgment on this one until I try it out for a longer period of time. Toodles~

Manga Read: Makai Ouji Chapter 75
Finally, the next chapter for Makai Ouji: Devils and Realist has been released and uploaded onto Mangafox.
I love how Dantalion has finally opened up to William and reveals his past to the boy. But of course, Willian has long known about the history behind Dantalion's background and thus, he isn't all that surprised after hearing Dantalion's story.
All Dantalion wants is to stay with William together for the rest of his life and this can be clearly seen in the poignant panel below, which I cropped from the manga's page itself.
Look at that tender gesture between them. It speaks of longing and caring between the two characters. This is especially so for Dantalion since he has been following William's previous reincarnation, Solomon, for a long time.
But then the chapter ends in an abrupt cliffhanger, with Dantalion rejecting William's request to stay with him. And the reason why? It is too late for them. But the question is, why is it so? Obviously we have to wait until the next chapter before we can find out the reason why Dantalion can no longer be with William.
I really hope these two characters can be reunited with each other once and for all. However, with Heaven brewing all sorts of evil plots in the background, it is unlikely that peace can prevail between them and the world in which they live in. But that is precisely why I love reading this manga. All that analogies about science versus ideology is creating a unique story-line which makes for some fun reading. So I shall have to wait till June before the next chapter will be released officially.

Woohoo~ I finally found the perfect BB cushion for my stubborn oily face!
Laneige Pore Control BB Cushion is my newly found holy grail and when I top it off with 3W Clinic loose powder, my face can remain oil-free even after an entire day at work! Sugoi ne~!
Of course my nose area is still susceptible to sebum production but at least with this BB cushion, the oil production is greatly reduced to a much more bearable level. This makes me really happy! I bought it from Qoo10 so I saved up some money too~ Yaaay!! o(^▽^)o
Oh but the only thing is, I think I might have bought a shade too light for my complexion but oh well, looks like I gotta stick with my current batch until I finish them. But yea, it's still worth the purchase because no more oily makeup~!

REVIEW: [Beauty] The Face Shop Black Label Lipstick in Flower Pink
Lastly, this one here is Flower Pink from The Face Shop's Black Label series.
I did used it once for work but I found the staying power to be really pathetic. The colour starts to fade off after only one hour of wear, which is really short. Goodness. Luckily I bought these lippies through a sale so at least the pain of wasting my money isn't so huge but man, what a waste of my money. Ugh ๐ฉ

REVIEW: [Beauty] The Face Shop Black Label Lipstick in Fashion Red
This one shown here is the second lipstick that I bought from The Face Shop's Black Label series, also on Qoo10.
This colour is named as Fashion Red and I quite like it because red is my favourite colour. However I have yet to apply it on my lips so I have no idea how well it suits me. Unlike Soft Coral, this colour doesn't carry any hint of shimmer in it so I think it should look quite pigmented on the skin.
In fact, I bought two of this colour and gave one of them to my mum since she loves the colour red as well.

REVIEW: [Beauty] The Face Shop Black Label Lipstick in Soft Coral
Also through Qoo10, I
bought a couple of new lipsticks from The Face Shop under the Black Label
series.
This lipstick here is in soft coral colour and when I put it on my lips, it actually turns out to be rather nude. I don't really like it because this makes my face looks paler than I should be. Ugh I ought to have done some swatches at the shop before purchasing this online but it's too late now. Sigh.
For reference, my complexion colour is kinda yellow-based so nude coloured lipsticks don't look good on me. Or maybe, I just haven't found that perfect shade of nude. Oh well~

REVIEW: [Beauty] 3W Aloe Vera Soothing Gel
Recently I bought this 3W
aloe vera soothing gel from Qoo10 and I must say that it's working really well
on my face.
I like the cooling sensation that lingers on after application and how my skin looks much more hydrated these days. I'm definitely going to keep using it for as long as I can. Plus the tub is really huge for the price that I paid which makes it really worth the money spent. Yay!

REVIEW: [Beauty] Tangle Teezer
Lately, I have been having
a really enjoyable time combing through my stubborn. And the reason why? It's
because of Tangle Teezer! ๐
This baby is sooooo effective in detangling my tangled hair ends that I no longer have to fight with my hair to get it look neater! I'm so happy to have found this comb through a review in a magazine and now I can't live without it~ I bought mine from Sephora and of course it ain't cheap but it's totally worth every cent, I tell you! Oh boy, no more bad hair days for me now~

I'm Still Alive!
Hey minna-san~!
How is everybody doing these days? I know it's been a long time since I last updated this blog but don't worry, I'm still alive~! Hue hue hue~
So yea, actually I have been spending the past few hours trying to sort out the design for this blog and it's really a daunting task. Well, at least to me it is. I can't figure out how html works in the css part so I'm still having trouble trying to finalize the categories on the header itself. So most of the links there don't actually work. Gomen.. m( _ _ )m
Anyway, I'll try to post updates on here every now and then. It's still my baby after all but real life keeps getting in the way, so I can't find the time to post long updates. I would love to, though.
